The VHF operating bands of SATELLINE 3AS-VHF modems are particularly suitable for radio propagation in rural areas and often allow a 30% increase in radio coverage compared to the UHF band.
Designed for high reception discrimination, SATELLINE 3AS-VHF modems are distinguished by their performance in disturbed radio environments.
Their main characteristics are :
- Large switching bands : 135…174 / 218…238 MHz
- Adjustable radio frequency (TX, RX or TX / RX) by software, SL commands and list of predefined channels
- Channel spacing configurable at 12.5 or 25 kHz
- Configurable transmission power : 100mW, 500mW, 1W or 5W
- Sensitivity up to -115dBm
- Power supply : +9…30Vdc.
The radio modem is configured using a PC, using a standard terminal or the SATEL configuration manager. LEDs provide real-time status for rapid analysis and diagnosis of data exchanges.
The SATELLINE 3AS-VHF modem has an optional LCD screen and push buttons for easy configuration without any other equipment. It becomes a very useful tool for the evaluation and qualification of radio links with the measurement of the radio field level in reception and the level of radio noise in the channel.
Optionally, a radiator can be attached to the modem. This option is necessary when the emission cycle at 5W is greater than 20%.
Advanced Features
The SATELLINE 3AS-VHF modem includes advanced addressing, repetition and routing features. It is possible to simply create networks in bus, star or extended topology. Automatic routing offers an overhop function that is particularly useful for managing mobile devices.
